What is Somatic Healing?
My focus is to help individuals connect with their bodies to enhance awareness, movement, promote healing, remove trauma from the body, and overall well-being.

Somatic exercise is a gentle movement practice that emphasizes the mind-body connection, encouraging awareness of bodily sensations and movements. Techniques like Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique fall under this umbrella. One of the best aspects of somatic exercise is that you can practice it anywhere, even in your own bed! If soft movement feels challenging, you can also engage in visualization techniques. It’s a wonderfully "lazy" yet effective way to help you reconnect with yourself and find your center.

Somatic exercising is a holistic approach to movement that nurtures both physical and emotional well-being, making it a valuable practice for many.

Its benefits

Mind-Body Connection: Somatic exercises encourage participants to tune into their bodies, fostering awareness of how movement feels. This mindfulness helps individuals recognize tension and stress, promoting relaxation.
Movement Re-education: These exercises often aim to re-pattern habitual movements, helping to improve posture and alignment. This can alleviate pain and enhance overall physical function.
Personalized Experience: Each person's experience is unique; participants are encouraged to explore their own movement patterns, making it a highly individualized practice.
Emotional Release: Somatic exercises can help release stored emotions or trauma, leading to emotional healing and greater mental clarity.

Reduced Stress: By promoting relaxation and mindfulness, somatic exercises can significantly lower stress levels.
Improved Mobility: They enhance flexibility and range of motion, making daily activities easier.
Pain Relief: Many people find relief from chronic pain conditions, as the exercises help release tension and improve body awareness.
Enhanced Self-Awareness: Participants often develop a deeper understanding of their bodies and habits, leading to healthier movement choices.
Better Emotional Well-Being: Engaging in somatic practices can promote emotional balance and resilience.
